1. Overview

IntelliScrape ("we", "our", "us") provides a web scraping toolkit and hosted API service. This privacy policy explains how we collect, use, and protect information when you use our website, library, CLI, and hosted API.

2. Data We Collect

Website usage. We do not use analytics cookies or tracking pixels. We do not sell or share personal data with third parties.

Hosted API. When you use the hosted scraping service, we temporarily store: the URL you requested, a preview of the scraped content (first 500 characters), your IP address, user agent, and browser fingerprint data (collected client-side via fingerprint-oss with your consent). This data is retained for 30 days and then deleted.

Library / CLI. When using the self-hosted library or CLI, no data is sent to our servers. All scraping happens locally on your machine.

3. How We Use Data

• To operate and improve the hosted API service
• To detect and prevent abuse and rate-limit violations
• To maintain service reliability and performance

4. Data Storage

The hosted API uses Neon PostgreSQL (a serverless Postgres provider) for temporary data storage. Data is encrypted in transit (TLS) and at rest. We do not store full scraped content — only a 500-character preview.

5. Cookies

We do not use cookies for tracking or analytics. The website may use essential cookies required for functionality (e.g., session state).

6. Third-Party Services

• Vercel — website hosting
• Neon — database hosting
• FastAPI Cloud — API hosting
• GitHub — open source repository

These services process data on our behalf under standard data processing agreements.

7. Your Rights

You can request deletion of your data at any time by contacting us at joy@intelliscrape.dev. We will respond within 30 days.

8. Changes

We may update this policy from time to time. Material changes will be announced on our blog and GitHub repository.
